IDGOMB Saturday

With the heat starting to crank up, I planned our day to be outside this morning...

Connor played and I worked!!!   I raked up the mowed grass into piles, then picked up the piles and used them as mulch in the Iris bed.  Now with that being said, when I mulched the iris bed, I first laid down newspaper in between the rows and then used the mowed grass to anchor the paper.   I ran out of mowed grass before I ran out of iris rows.  So I have to save the rest of the bed for the next mowing.

After that, I worked up a smaller bed at the end of the deck and planted Melba's (which I'm thinking isn't the name but probably the lady whom Mom and Dad got the original seeds from, they are small versions of hollyhocks.

Then it started getting HOT so we came inside...   since then, I've cleaned out Connor's closet due to a consignment sale coming up at the end of the month, and I've done laundry... 

I'm sure there is more I can get into but for now...  IDGOMB raking, mulching, working up a bed and planting the bed...  then....  cleaned out a closet and so far have done two loads of laundry...
