Run-in with an Egg Roll

First off, Happy Saturday to my extended WLS family. So I had my typical weekly stall. No ball movements, no weight loss this week.

So I was feeling a little down and see a Chinese restaurant that catches my attention (I guess I am still a food addict).

I get the itch and stop in for an Egg Roll. Yes, Egg Roll = very bad. Fried, greasy, not much protein content, full of carbs, etc.  So I eat just one, nothing else, and I am full, satisified, and happy.

Before surgery, I may have had two egg rolls, soup, the entree, and then dessert.

I dump on a few things (i.e.- mayo), so I wait to see if I get deathly ill over the Egg Roll. Nope, was in the clear. So I get my minimum protein in later that day, and go to bed feeling guilty (thinking I may have gained weight due to my cheating).

I wake up the next morning, and for the first time in 4 days, I start having ball movements. Not just 1, but 4 ball movements in less than an hour. Must be the grease from the Egg Roll that got everything flowing again. This was on Thursday.

So I weigh myself this morning (Saturday), and from  the time I ate the egg roll I had LOST 4 more lbs. So unless it is purely coincidence, both the ball movements and the weight loss jump started after the egg roll incident.

Now, the point of my story is not for you to incorporate greasey fried egg rolls into your diet (although it sure did taste good!). But I feel like the occasional indulgence (IN MODERATION) isn't necessarily a terrible thing.

Congrats!

I could not let this pass.

Don't you mean "bowel" movements and not "ball" movements?    In any event, I am very encouraged that your balls are moving again!   LOL.

I hope you take this post in the spirit that it was intended.  I just had to have fun with it.  I couldn't help myself.     it was just funny that's all.

On a more serious note.  I am VERY glad to hear about anybody who gets out of a stall.  I am so bummed out over my recent stalls that I don't even post as much as I used to.  I just want to have something positive to say.   SO............I'll just be very proud of my friends who have things moving in the right direction again!

In Friendship.......Cathy.

Yes, I meant "bowel" movement.. LOL! My mom is a nurse so when I was a kid, I would call it a "ball movement" and I guess that is stuck in the back of my mind still. Too funny...
