From Marilyn on Ron
Hi folks,
I can't get on facebook at Patricia Neal so I will have to update through email. If someone wants to post an update on facebook, please feel free. I will try to get one out as soon as Erin gets her cable hooked up.
Ron was moved back to Pat Neal last evening and started therapy today. He started bleeding out of his left drain late this morning and they called me to come in. It is oozing pretty good and the nurses have changed the dressing a multitude of times and the bed a couple of times. A surgeon has been called but he isn't here yet. He is bleeding because he is on coumadin because he had the pulmonary embolus (blood clots to the lungs) last week. It is more inportant to keep it going than to stop it at this time. I feel sure they will remove the drain tonight or tomorrow and put in a new one. Ron is hoping they leave it out completely and maybe they will, but I kind of doubt it. Anyway, he isn't really feeling feeling too bad, just tired and a little nauseous, as well as depressed that he had another complication. I tried to explain that anyone who has been sick as long as he has is goin to have lots of complications, not that it helped.
We really enjoyed our visit this week with Stacy and Caleb, it was a fabulous surprise. Ron has a goal to get out of the rehab to go home by the first of August so please pray to that extent. I have gone back to work, so pray that I have whatever it takes to do all this. i worked last night, and then I work Sat, Sun and Monday nights.
By the way, Ron is in room 425 at Patricia Neal which on the 4th floor of Fort Sander Regional Hospital . The address is:
Patricia Neal Rehab
1901 Clinch Avenue
Knoxville, TN 37916
Attn: Ron Lynch
Room 425
He is in rehab Mon-Fri from 9 am until noon and from 1 pm until 4. Visiting hours are until 8:30 pm. He doesnt have anything to do on the weekends, so that is a good time to visit if you want to. Now that I am working, he is alone more, so visitors are more than welcome since he gets lonelier without me there.
All for now.
