Hi Everyone!! I'm Back from a Magical Vacation!

Hi Everyone!!! I missed ya' over the past week while I was on vacation in Disney World w/my kiddos & family....we had a wonderful time. I let Mickey & Minnie have all the cheese in light of my string-cheese-stuck-stuck-stuck episode right before I left. 

I had weigh-in withdraw while I was gone--I am such a weigher every morning...I just look forward to it &, despite the fact that I mentioned bringing the bathroom scale (my husband veto'd that & said I was insane), I left it at home.  I was singing the praises of WLS the entire week I was there. It was such a different vacation experience.  It is amazing how much you can do & enjoy when you are not at all food-focused.  Plus, my husband enjoyed eating all my dining plan meals!!!  I kept thinking of all the crud I would have been putting in my body as I walked by different places & I was so glad that nothing really appealed to me.

I did bring my pedometer w/me and laughed outloud when I took it off on one of the nights and had taken 10,456 steps that day!!! You gotta love Disney World!!! I didn't even realize I had walked so far!!!  Most other days I logged between 6,000 and 8,000!

Another amazing result was that pre-WLS I would have come back 5++ pounds heavier than when I left & would have started gearing myself up for the after-vacation diet that I would go on.  Nope...not this time.  When I left I was 209 pounds & when I retured I was 204 (just 5 pounds from ONEderland now...woot woot...).....I was really happy about that & am so excited to get to Onederland!!!  That has been a big goal of mine throughout this process.  I am 16 weeks from surgery tomorrow....this has been an amazing four months!! 

My husband did mention that I should get a WLS Promotion Booth at Disney World because, even pre-surgery, I tend to strike up a conversation with anyone and, lately, it seems to turn to weight loss surgery.  There are a lot of lines to wait in and I found myself talking to so many people & learning about them.  I am not sure how, but I ended up with five women & one man's telephone numbers/email addresses because they wanted to know more about the surgery I had & to talk with me more about it.  I gave them the OH website address, too & I am hopeful that they will explore it more & decide if it is the right option for them.  I promised all of them that if they got to goal I would meet all of them back at Disney and they could ditch the scooters they were riding around in...they all agreed!!!!!

So, I am looking forward to reading posts from the past week & seeing how e'one is doing....and finding out what creative & fun challenge Ms. Amy has cooked up for us this month!!!

Glad you had a good time. Now please tell your husband to return GOOFEY!!! BwaHahaha!!!!!

Vacations are wonderful now aren't they?! I even enjoyed flying a few weeks ago! Glad you had a fabulous time but its good to have you back home!

And OMG, you're like 5 minutes from being in Onederland!  You ROCK, Micheala!!!  You're like the WLS ambassador at Disney.  If you can't get a booth, you at least need to have a sash and perhaps a tiara!!

Okay, I gotta go to bed as I am pooped, but I wanted to say hi and that I'm so glad you're home and back on the boards.  Can't wait to see pictures of you and the fam having super fun in Florida!!!

As far as July challenge, it is Christmas in July!!!!  I see that Onederland is your wish for Christmas in July, which I am sure is more than obtainable!!!
