Have you tried BHRT?  I got the saliva test, then some bloodwork and was about to start on BHRT but come to find out, it was Mirena IUD which was causing the same symptoms as perimenopause.  It ended up, I did not need BHRT but you can take a look at Oprah's website and Dr. Phil's about all the BHRT issues (bio identical hormone replacement therapy)

I was on PremPro prior to surgery but found it would not absorb postop.  I tried a patch but it kept falling off or when it did stay on I had an allergy to the adhesive so I broke out.  So, that didn't work for me either.  I am 51 years old, so I NEEDED hormones!  So, my pharmacist compounded the PremPro into a transdermal gel that I apply to the inside of my wrists every morning and rub in really well.  It works like a charm.  Have been doing it for almost a year.
