Vandy's Walk from Obesity Team now looking for Team Members

 Several people have asked and I wanted to let everyone know that we created a Vanderbilt Walk from Obesity team last night at the monthly PostOp Support Group. Please feel free to join, even if you aren't a Vanderbilt  patient and you haven't found a team to join, join up with us, we promise to be a fun group. So far Team Vandy is a mix of patients and WLS staff (maybe a few other staff members too).

Had a great time at the support group and I love the thought provoking questions Missy writes on the board.  I entertain myself through introspection after the meeting is over.  You know how after you exercise, theoretically your metabolism runs a little hotter for hours after the workout.  It's the same thing after the support group except with thoughts.  Hmmmm.  Hmmm!  HMMMM!!!!

And I loved meeting Rosie--she's adorable and funny to boot!

I hope the support group continues to grow, as well as the team for this year's walk!  Gooooo, Team Vandy!

I am so going to have to get down next month to this support group, ya'll sound like you have a blast!!!!  

I will sign up too in a few days..  I wanna be on the Vandy team!!

This is not right.  It's what she does when she encounters something her pouch hates.  Like breakfast.  It kills me, it is so funny!!!  Even though Bandy's been in a good mood, I've done that at face at least 10 times today just because it entertains me.

Team Vandy's gonna be SUPER FUN!!!  And then Jessica will make us all cry.  Hahahahaha! (just pokin' ya with a stick, Jessica, just in case you're lurking!)

Aww, thanks so much Denise! I am so glad I popped in the other night and saw Kenny's posting about group. I had an absolute blast. I finally felt I was "among my people!" lol

I can't wait to see ya'll next month! :)

 I wanted to name the team something like... "my nutritionist makes me cry" or  "the red-headed food nazis"  or "kashi cereal killers"  or "tummy titans".   I even liked "pimp my thighs" but Kenny said he absolutely wouldn't wear a shirt with that on it.   

Finally, I gave in and let it be the generic name.  *sigh*  Oh well, maybe I will pimp out the back of the shirt!!!

Either way, it should be fun!  I hope everyone joins in!!

You could have the shirt say on the front:  Pimp My...

On the back, say:
Abs
Thighs
Gluts
Buns

LOL

 Perhaps there should be two sets of shirts.  The Kenny Boring Style (hee hee) and the raunchy version.  Or we can get some custom buttons to pin on with some of the other slogans.  Add a very 80s feel to the whole thing.

Don't you worry, we'll get some special Missy sparkly branding on our team one way or another.  It's too damned funny not to!!!!  Mwaaahahahahaa!
