Is there a Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, or anything similar out that way? i've only visited when in the Atlanta area and we were thinking of taking a day trip out to middle TN.

Any suggestions? Kroger, Earth Fare, and Fresh Market is as good as its around here. I keeping hearing we're getting a Whole Foods in West Knoxville but it's not happened yet.

Be happy.

Trader Joe's and Whole Foods can both be found in Nashville. Depending on the area you will be visiting you should have no trouble finding either one. Green Hills or Cool Springs will take care of you for either of these locations.

The Whole Foods at Green Hills is 1000x better than the one at Cool Springs in my opinion.

But if you are coming into Nashville than I would think that you would want to goto the Green Hills location.  The Trader Joes in Nashville is also at Green Hills just down the street from Whole Foods.

Enjoy.

I LOVE TRADER JOES'!!!

I like their chile lime chicken burgers, marinated chipotle chicken skewers...  french onion soup...  their flaxseed soy chips...  salsas, chicken sausage...  oh just all kinds of goodies!

Just to add to the Trader Joe's Lust List:

Frozen:
Chicken Pomodoro -- just chicken and veggies, wonderful!
marinated Mahi-Mahi--mmmm so good
wild-caught salmon
crab-stuffed salmon

Fresh/prepared section:
pork carnitas (OMG awesome)
blueberry greek yogurt
all manner of goat cheeses (for those who are, sniff, lactose intolerant)

The flaxseed/soy/tortilla chips really are worth trying, they're yum and 6g protein per serving. They're usually on the lowest shelf and you may have to dig. But so worth it.
