When does it get better?
I am not sure how to describe the feelings I am having. It really has nothing to do with the pain from surgery in the abdomin, more internal. I keep having hot flashes. Yesterday my blood pressure dropped to 107/66 so I am sure I got a little dehidrated. I was running a fever too. I am on antibiotics from the dr because I had a little infection from the JP Drain site so I slept most of the day instead of drinking, but when I realized what was going on I started drinking last night got my BP up and ended up drinking like 50oz of water. So why do I feel weird today? I have been drinking since I got up. Even having a protein drink.
Anyone else go through this?
Thanks
Sher

I didn't have any trouble with infection or dehydration, so I don't really know how that feels. I would imagine that the antibiotics you are taking would have some bearing on how you are feeling. When you get off of those, you will probably see a big difference.
If you don't feel better soon, I would call my Dr. They will know if what you are feeling is "normal".
Best of luck to you. Hope this helped in some way.
Your body will do all kinds of crazy things. If the same problem persists or you feel it is serious enough to need treatment, definitely contact your surgeon's office.
Most of my odd issues with energy, dizziness, etc. passed within 24 hours. Your body is still in shock and is healing. Combine that with rapid weight loss and a drastic change in your eating patterns and its a recipe for unpredictable things to occur.
This too, shall pass. :-)

It does get better, but don't hesitate to call your doc if you have questions....just follow your instinct w/those things....that's the best bet. I got an infection (a UTI) the day after surgery & I felt so, so horrible--Dr. Houston readmitted me & I went on antibiotics....that cleared it up, but, honestly, it was 5-6 weeks before I was 100% again.....just give yourself time & call the doc if you are running a fever! xo, Micheala.
