COOLEST THING EVER! Fluoroscope fill story!

SUPER COOL!!!
I've written up the whole story on my blog, but am waiting for the video to embed on it. Pokey! I already have it up on YouTube and if you want to see it, click here!
It doesn't take much to entertain me, and you can hear me squeal occasionally. Especially in the beginning when I realize you can see the hooks and underwires in my bra on the x-ray! It's my short laugh because I have a needle jabbed in my gut and I didn't want to anger it or my pork. But for those who are not bandsters, this may give you more insight into how our surgery works. You should be able to hear Dr. Williams as he describes what's going on in my insides.
I'm slowly sipping an Atkins shake right now and so far so good. Which is good because I didn't eat much today and I was ravenous!
TOO COOL! Amy--MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
I thought I had warned you about the bra hooks, I didn't have an underwire on that day.. but yeah.. see you did!! I am so happy for you!! Take it slow and easy, and in the morning, you will be tighter!!!
Dr. Carpenter is techninally my new doctor, I've seen him several times, so I'm ok with that!!

I haven't had anything to drink yet, but am excited to see how my coffee goes down this morning! I'm glad I don't have to think about food today (doing liquids) because Tuesday is having a reaction to her annual shots and we have to run to Franklin to the vet's office to treat her anemia. It's always something. At this rate I should have just taken the week off. I haven't been at work to do anything anyway!
I love Dr. Carpenter--he's a cutie patootie! He assisted with my surgery and I think was going to do the fill yesterday but he had trouble getting into my pork even with the x-ray. Apparently I have scar tissue that's right on top of the port. Lucky me! It took a little jabbing, but the got it done.
I gotta go watch the video again. It's been like a whole 8 hours since I've watched it! HA!!!
Dr. Carpenter did my first fill under the scope, and he didn't leave any bruise at all, this last fill, Dr. Richards did, and I have a bruise like someone punched me in the stomach, it looks awful still after almost two weeks. Owie..
Keep us posted on how restricted you feel.. I'm so anxious to hear..
HEY.. how much you got in your band now?? I'm up to 5cc's (I think?) When they start putting in and then drawing a bit back out, I loose count, but I think 5...
I watched the video this morning, and I'm going to take the laptop this weekend for Father's Day lunch so I can show my family... snicker.. hope you don't mind?!?!
HUGS to you and Tuesday!!

PLEASE feel free to show the video to your family! It's on the internet, which is SO private, ha ha ha! You know I'd've done the same if you got yours up first! It's sooooo cool! And your family will get what you're talking about with fills. Actually most people I tell about my band have no idea what it is or how it works, so having this video handy on my camera to share will be a great demo! No more drawings on napkins at restaurants!
Tuesday says she feels better already with her Amy-Connor hugs! She was really sick last April and nearly died. She had a uterine infection, bled out after surgery, got a transfusion, then developed a reaction to the foreign blood. So now when she gets her yearly shots, she's susceptible to another episode hemolytic anemia. Her tongue and gums were pale this morning, so back to the vet we go for a packed cell volume and probably a course of steroids. She should be fine, but she will NEVER turn down cutie pie hugs from Team Baggett!!!
HUGS!!!

OH MY GOODNESS....THAT WAS AMAZING...I jus****ched the Tube video twice....that is the coolest....it is so freaky & hard to wrap my RNY mind around!!
You have to let us know how you are feeling tomorrow restriction-wise....fantastic!!!
I have my three month follow up with Dr. Houston tomorrow---had a setback this week---I developed a rash and they think it is Sweet's Disease....had to have a biopsy that was sent to pathology (by the way, this is NOT WLS related....it's a rare disease that you get when you have Leukemia--which I don't have, I wouldn't think---or secondary to an upper respitory infection--that, I did have for those two weeks--so much more probable)...at any rate....it's really, really terrible & I want it to go away.
Good news...I weighed in at 117 this morning...that makes 76 pounds in 13 weeks...for that, I am thankful.
I want to go watch your cool video again.....GLAD YOU ARE DOING SO GREAT!! xo, Micheala.

I just had my morning meds and whew, I'm full!
Today I'm going back to liquids and focusing on tracking everything. Slowly ease myself back to the regular diet and see how it goes. Hopefully this will jumpstart me as I have stalled out at 220. I'm 219.0 this morning and we'll see what the impact of the fill is over the next few days.
I'll keep ya posted. Now STOP SCRATCHING!!!!
HUGS!!!!
