Hey Bob!
Thursday was a busy day--I had to squish my workout in the afternoon because I had to leave work at 4 to get to the lap band support group.
I did 25 minutes on the recumbent bike, my upper body weight machines and my lower body stretches plus 3 sets of 20 reps of clamshells with the gray band.
Looking forward to hitting the gym after work . . . but I ordered an unscooter yesterday (had gift cards!) and even though I got slow shipping, it's arriving today!!!!! I wanted a way to exercise the dogs (get 'em running) without killing me in the process. This is not a bike and not rollerblades, but a 3 wheeled scooter that can get you to bike cruising speed through a motion like roller blading. I can't wait! So it'll be hard to keep me focused today because I'll wanna get home so I can put it together and try it out. They say it takes a little getting used to, but once you get it, it's fantastic!
You can also make this thing move by scissoring your legs open and closed. It works your hip adductor and abductor muscles--the same ones I'm working out on the machines at the gym to alleviate my bursitis!
I'll let you know how it goes! Uh, and if I don't post for like a week, check local hospitals for my bruised behind!
