Lunch Bunch - June 13th

Yes, the Lunch Bunch is next Saturday, June 13th at 1pm. I will need a headcount by Friday evening.

Yes, we are going to meet at Cheddar's at Indian Lake.

Juanita had requested this restaurant last month but I had already posted about TGI Friday's so it went on the schedule for this month. This way whether you can attend the Lunch Bunch or the Dinner Club you still get to try Cheddar's. If you make it to both you can try it twice!!

I was introduced to Cheddar's eleven years ago while spending the summer working outside of Chicago. It was the first restaurant I had been to that had steamed broccoli on the menu. They had steamed broccoli when broccoli wasn't cool! LOL

I was introduced to Cheddar's when I was in college in Springfield, Mo.  The first semester I was in school, my roommate was a senior and she graduated at the end of that semester. That is where she wanted her family to go for celebration afterwards...  It was really good but I know that whatever it was I had back then is not what I can have today! LOL

What are some good RNY friendly foods served there? Any favorites?

I found especially early on to pull up the restaurant on line so I can see what will work for me it saves you a lot of hassle at the restaurant. C'ya Bob

Yesterday I had a wonderful grilled catfish filet with lemon pepper, steamed broccoli and steamed baby carrots.

They also have grilled tilapia and salmon and they have a lunch portion which is plenty for us.

They also have grilled chicken, salads and soups.

 I Will miss out unfortunately. I'm having surgery the day before lunch bunch and imagine I will still be in a deep anestesia(sp ? ) fog..lol  I hope you all have fun and enjoy !! : )
