WoooHooo I'm Home!!!
I know why I had the surgery, so I guess the pain is worth it, but when they started talking about me not being able tocome home that if my HNH dropped one more point, with already waiting til 2pm for that last draw, that I would be needing a blood transfusion....and staying a little longer :( That was a scarey moment (hours) for us....but we made it and with a lot of prayer,we got home Friday evening.
Now I am trying to settle in and make sure I'm getting all my fluids....Having my sister with me has been a great blessing while my husband is in Iraq. I couldn't do this without her.
Thanks to everyone that posts on OH, I learn something everytime I open this site!!!

Thanks Kathy and Missy, I appreciate your support. Yes it is beautiful here in Morristown. I am now 4 days post op and it's getting easier to get around, still sore, but not so bad. Coughing is the worst I think.
Trying to get in all these fluids and stuff really can take you all day to count, drink, get meds in on sometime of schedule....wow....just living is a full time job.
However, that is why I had this surgery - to live. So every day when I am overwhelmed, I sit down take a break and remember why I had this surgery.....My boys are 18 and 20. and I'd like to be around some day (no rush) to see some grandkids. With my weight, COPD,Emphysema,Rhumatiod Arthritis, and some other things going on, it wasn't likely that would happen.
Again, I thank you both for taking time to post to a newbie here on the way to her new life.....
((hugs))

Welcome home Jamie, it take some talk'n to yourself sometimes, this I do remember, but my dear, still do on as a dailey routine, wouldn't change a thing. I thank the talk'n to ,gives us a reason to search and find more info on what is needed for our wellbeing and wonderful journey. . I know that my surgeon and nut. gave us several handouts. that I thought when be'n handed to us, was well a slight bit amount of paperwork. But ya know that slight bit of paperwork has come in handy! Wow they've been used. It sounds as though your support teams was right on tasks too!!! Congrats again!!! Barb
Hi,
You are so right about that "slight little paper".....sure read it over and over yet still go back, you would think we would have it memorized by now. Yet nope must still look again to make sure the cal/carbs/fat/prot hasn't changed since last time I used that Nectar this morning....
Baby steps....
Thanks - I couldn't have done this at all without my sister- she is the bomb!!!
