 Hello Everyone,

The Post-op Patient Support Group at Vanderbilt meets tomorrow and every 4th Thursday of the month between 5:30 pm and 7 pm. We meet at Vanderbilt Health One Hundred Oaks, Suite 22119 in the Surgical Weight loss Clinic (on the 2nd Floor). Please join us for our first meeting, we promise to make it fun and educational. Everyone is welcome, no matter what surgery you've had, and no matter where you've had the surgery, and feel free to bring your significant other, or any family members or friends. This is a Post-op support meeting though, we may talk about things that would scare pre-op patients, but we welcome pre-op patients to attend the Tuesday Support Group at Vanderbilt, which is held on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month at 4:30 pm at the very same location.

The first support group meeting will be on May 28th and we look forward to seeing everyone there.

If you need directions, please visit here or you can email me at [email protected]

The closest entrances to the Surgical Weightloss Clinic will be entrances D or E.

Thanks!

That was a fun meeting, Kenny and I'm so glad you guys organized that!

Myra was an absolute hoot and I thought I was going to fall out of my chair when she started talking about how when she lost weight she started drying her clothes in the dryer instead of stretching them out and hanging them to dry, 'cause I did the same thing!

It was just another great example of though our journeys are different, they're also the same.

I quite enjoyed that everyone seemed to have a great sense of humor, which I think will serve us all well when we run into those inevitable bumps in the road.

And of course Missy is soooo funny.  She'd say, "I'm not well," when describing how she felt when something did not sit right.  I'm quite sure I'll be stealing that line, perhaps with a wrist to the forehead for additional sympathy points.  Heh heh.

Great fun and I'm already looking forward to next month!
