I've been at the hospital or a couple of days with my mother.  ( Had pacemaker put in).  I just settled down and I made myself a concoction that is SOOOOOOOOO good!   I hope it's good for me.  I think it is.  I am eating "spooning" it as a whole meal.  It tasts like ice cream!

1 scoop Isopure natural vanilla
1/2 scoop believe Pom Raz
8 or 10 frozen natural rasberrys
1 container vanilla carb master yogurt
4 cubes of ice
3 pkts Splenda
2 or three squirts of Devinci SF Rasberry Syrup

TO DIE FOR GOOD!    I feel like I've been to Baskin Robbins.   It's all in the "mixology" .  Sometimes you hit on something GOOD!

Yippee!!!!!!

Hey Cathy. I was just sitting here about to start a post about "What's in your kitchen today?' as its holiday eating time!  This sounds like a wonderful treat!  Right now I have some ramekins in the conviction oven (LOL, convection that is!  But no conviction or guilt over THIS treat).  I have a pumpkin suprise recipe in those ramekins that I found from Bariatric Eating.  I'm wondering what everyone else is having or treating themselves to this weekend!?

Have fun, but be safe!

I just read my post and I think I forgot to use the spell check....Oh well........I have steak and potatoes and all the trimmings for DH and mother tomorrow.  I haven't given much thought to what I will eat.  I am still having a problem with "spur of the moment" eating for me.  I hate to plan anything.  Fast food, sandwich, and chips is what made me fat in the first place.  It was not because I exactly loved the food, but I HATE to plan and cook.

I think that I why it is sometimes easier for me just to make a quick shake that is good for me.  I have frozen soup that I eat when all else fails.  I am working on it, but I run better on something that doesn't take much thought.

Any suggestions?  (Other than what I already know........."get with the program and quit making excuses why we can't eat  AND COOK what is good for us.

You will not believe that the F letter top just fell off my computer.  Now how am I going to keep typing F words?     I have to fix this.  I can type the F but it is sticking in my finger!

Got to go.

LOL, Well Cathy, some F words are not nice for ladies to utter, OR TYPE! LOL

We are having a cookout with Mike tomorrow.  I am taking hamburger, he has hot dogs and chicken already.  I have to make a dessert.  I'm thinking about the sugar free lemon mousse.  He liked that awhile back.  If I get really "kitcheny" I might make something else, maybe a peanut butter pie.   I dont' know what I want just yet. I also thought about doing apple crisp.  Too many to choose from, so its a matter of WHAT DOES MELINDA WANT THE VERY MOST?!

Luckily, we're having other friends to come (Mike's roommate and another of his friends) so its ok that we cook a lot of food.  Our bbq is usually filled with meat!  Tim likes grilled pineapple so we will pick that up at Kroger tonight, and he has corn on the cob as well.

I'm just fine with a hamburger with tomato, lettuce and pickle!  There is nothing like the taste of a fresh grilled burger.

Bariatriceating.com has a new product called Believe Pom Raz Sangria.  They have this new flavor along with some others.  I bought it and could not figure out what to do with it.  It has a Pomegranate/Rasberry flavor.  There is  no sugar and 30 grams of protein.  I have tried and tried to like it and just could not find the right combination.  Today......Bingo.  It was wonderful with the combination that I posted.

The Devinci Syrup can be purchased there too, but it can be purchased locally too.  Mels sight has a list of things that can be purchased in the Nashville Area, but there are several sites where you can order it.  Shipping is a problem.

I found mine at TJ Max of all places.  They had a bunch of it one day and i bought about everything they had.  I use them all the time.  Maybe someone else out there can tell us where you can get it in your area.  It is expensive to ship, but I pay anyway sometimes, just because I have learned to depend on it to make my drinks tasty.

Hope this helps.

PS.  I am not promoting this product.  As in most protein drinks, it is just the right combination and your taste buds that make things work.  I have just kept trying to get the right combination for me.  When I first got this, I was not happy with it.  Some people loved it and talked about how great it was on the web site.  I just didn't get it.   Now I DO!   I love it too, now that I have found the right combination.

I like to think of protein powder like buying a piece of meat.  We normaly don't buy a piece of meat, put it on the plate and expect it to taste good!  We spice it, marinade it, cook it certain ways with different types of things like onions, green pepper, mushrooms,etc...  and it tastes wonderful...  same is true for protein powders...

It's just a matter of the additives and finding what you like... !   There are some that are good enough to add water and ice and enjoy, but not many!

Any of the Syntha 6 are add & go! But, they are high in carbs so I hardly ever (maybe once every 3 months) just add my liquid.  Instead, I have these little mixes I like.  Syntha Mochaccino is excellent.  Strawberry Milkshake is excellent. Chocolate Milkshake is excellent.

But, instead, I have a little recipe I use.  1/2 scoop Champion Chocolate, 1/8 scoop syntha mochachino, 2 oz Hood milk, 10 oz water, lots of ice, 1/2 packet moo magic.  Makes an excellent mocha drink with lots lower cals.
