Melinda, you are right.  It is more of a control issue.  Take a few protein items in your bags "just in case" and then let your focus be on what the retreat is about and not about food.  Sometimes we still like to make food the "scapegoat" instead of feeling or experiencing. 

For goodness sakes!  Have fun!!!  Dont let that old food demon steal that from ya!

OK, breathe a sigh!  I got the menu for the weekend.  While there are some choices I would not have (chicken smothered in bbq sauce, can ya say dump city?) there is a chicken in cream of mushroom sauce which I do not mind to scrape it all off.  And green beans.  And brkfst is plenty of eggs, sausage, bacon. There will be fruit.  OK. I am going to make a plan and stick with it.
I am going to take a bag of kays, and 2 protein bars (just for choice's sake). 

Heck, I still have my food "issues", that is for certain.  Sometimes, they just come out of nowhere!  And you think, "what in the world?? where's that coming from?"
