I have Fallen off the Wagon.

Most of you know that it has been a while sense I was here. I got way off track and I gained back 10 lbs. It is no ones fault but my own. With my last adjustment, I have felt my first restriction sense surgery. I find that I now have to follow my diet very close. I know what to do in my head, but I have not been doing it. I am now back on track. Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts.

Phil

Phil, it happens to the best of us, brother!  I hear ya loud and clear...  hopefully with your new restriction, you will be able to stay on track... I can't speak towards the subject per se, only because I've heard others talk but if you find that you are able to eat more, and don't have that restriction anymore, then it is probably a good idea to run back to the office for another fill...  your band is a great tool but sometimes it has to be fine tuned.

Glad to see you back...  !

Your right. The bad part is that I know these things and I
keep kicking myself in the rear. But that does not do
anything but wear out my leg and shoe. Your right, I am
trying to get back up and do the right things. I starting going
to the ymca and take my puppies for a walk. GOMB is the
key.

Phil, let me share something...  I once was a very strict conservative christian.  But, I really had a hard time forgiving myself of things from my past...  I prayed over and over and over again "God please forgive me" for whatever it was I felt bad about...  But during my weight loss journey, I have learned something about myself...  God forgave me a long time ago...  but it was me who would not allow forgiveness.  I had to learn how to just leave it there, walk on, and don't keep feeling that same old yuck.  It's similar to what you are saying...  you messed up.  Today is a new day.  And, on this journey of ours, we have to learn how to leave it, and walk on.  This has helped me tremendously in many areas of my life...  You can do it!

It isn't hard to get off track especially when a lot of things are going on in your life. If you arent already doing it, I would suggest logging your food at a place like fitday or the daily plate. Seeing the numbers of what you are eating can really help keep you accountable about what goes in your mouth. I start with logging what I would like to have for the day and see how it adds up. If the numbers bother me or are over my limits, I change things to suit me. It does take some time and effort but it pays off in the long run.
Hang in there. I know you can do it.

Ok Phil.....Put your leg back in the wagon.....give yourself a big boost and we will all help pull you back in!    Only next time try to keep both your legs in the wagon!  (LOL).

To be more serious about this.  Don't beat yourself up.  You know what to do.  Just do it.  We will all be here to help and support you.

Remember, when the world pushes you to your knees,
you're in the perfect position to pray!

Phil--I totally agree with Mel--God forgave us at the cross(a long time ago!)  We are the ones who keep punishing ourselves...(got to quit doing that! It doesn't help)  Jennifer Angus, my nut, rold me once, she doesn't expect perfection, just effort.  I can do effort, especially if I don't have to be perfect!
You are definitely in my prayers and thoughts! Erika
