In some pain...

I'm nearly 2 months out now. Had my first fill over a week ago. But starting last night I've had stomach pains. Not sharp, but more like sore. Sore enough that it hurts to sit up from laying down. I almost wanted to cry this morning when I got out of bed. So I called the surgeon's office on my way to work and was able to speak with the nurse. She said that since I am able to eat and drink normally, that it's probably not band related. She said I may have just used my stomach muscles differently than I use to. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Yes..  I had some pain, and while things were going down smoothly and easily I figured everything was ok with the band.   BUT, it only lasted a few days, and then went away, and not been back.

When I told Dr. Williams, I just chalked it up to muscle soreness I was rediscovering, and he agreed.

Keep us posted on you are feeling!   You have been under a great deal of stress with your boyfriend's injury!

Amy,   Thank you so much. That really helps alot. I never thought about rediscovering muscle soreness. That actually makes a little bit of sense. Because the soreness is very much compareable to the sorness I had after surgery (just not as bad).

And yes I have been under some stress, worrying about my boyfriend. He even said something to me this morning that he was sorry he's been a pain the last few days. Because after dinner he just falls asleep and leaves me to do all the cleaning and packing lunches for the next day. But I really don't mind it. He took care of me when I had my surgery. I can take care of him when he's hurt. He was feeling alot better yesterday since he stayed home. But today he went back to work on light duty and says he's feeling dizzy. He said he will probably take tomorrow off and rest again.

I'm sorry you're having stomach pain, Laura.  I haven't experienced anything like that yet.  Is it closer to your port or to your band?  I'm not sure where Dr. Morton puts his ports relative to the band itself--Vandy sticks them on the opposite side of your belly from the actual band.

I learned some new exercises for my hip/bursitis yesterday and one was lying on my stomach, raising my legs.  It was freaky because it pressed my stomach into the table and I could feel my pork!  (nickname for my port)  I'd like "Things that give me the willies, please Alex!"

I hope you and your boyfriend feel better soon!

HUGS!!!

The pain was closer to my band. My port wasn't hurting at all. But I'm feeling much much better today. I think I know what happened. I may have pulled a stomach muscle... I think i know how. But you don't want to know the details! Lol... My port (or "pork") is to the left of my stomach but up kinda high, like 2 inches below my bra line......   That does sound like to interesting exercises!   And thank you, I hope we feel better soon too! Jeff stayed home today because he almost passed out at work yesterday. I had to leave work 2 hours early to take him home! If he doesn't feel well by Monday he's going back to the doctor.
