Hi'ya folks,

Ok, I've been in a Department of Education, Standards Institute all day and it was like sitting in a meat freezer!!!  I am thinking MTSU didn't pay their heat bill!!  Then I come home on the mountain, and Brrrrrr...  it is cold...    Daddy informed me it was blackberry winter!  I'm done with winter and being cold!

I'll be at the Standards Institute through Thursday, I know you are wishing you were me!!  NOT!!!  Struggling to stay warm and awake..  BUT..  on the note of getting off my butt...  and the challenge..   Since it was such a beautiful sunshine day, I ate my salad and then spent the rest of the lunch hour walking!  I clocked 1.5 miles on my pedometer during our 45 minute break!

SO....   NEXT.....

and pssst..  anyone wanting to still be in the Flower Power challenge just PM me..  there is always room for more!!!

Great Job, Kerri!!    I don't know about you, but I find myself wanting to do exercise.

It's like everywhere I go, it feels like a meat locker!  BRRRRR!!!  My hands were going blue in my office today.  The guy next door has the thermostat.

Today I was up early sweeping and mopping, then I walked to the office.  I had physical therapy for my bursitis (sounds like something old people get!) and then walked to CVS after to buy an ice pack.  My hip is KILLING ME!

Per the PT guy's advice, I skipped the walk to the car.  I did mow the lawn though, which was over 3000 steps!  So I got about 13,500 steps on my pedometer today.

I gotta see what exercise I can do since I'm not supposed to be walking.  Maaaan.  This sucks, but if we can get the pain to subside, I guess it'll be worth it.

HA!  Me complaining that I can't walk?!  Do I have a fever???

LOL...  No.. you don't have a fever..  you are loving your band and all that it is allowing you to do!!!

Now, I am not sure what bursitis is...  but it sounds painful!!!!   Will the weight loss help with it? Did the PT offer some other means of exercise so you don't hurt your hip?

Please take care of yourself, and don't overdo!!!!

I am finding the head changes that are accompanying the body changes to be a riot!  Who knows, when all is said and done, I might have a semi-clean house someday!!!!  DEAR DIARY!!!

Bursitis is the inflammation of specific tissues that serve to reduce friction between other tissues (muscles, tendons, etc) and are frequently located at joints.  Initially it felt like arthritis pain, but when I move, arthritis pain typically loosens up and feels better.  The bursitis pain gets worse with movement.  Or at least I hope just movement that has impact.  So I can maybe trade walking for the elliptical.

Just saying bursitis makes me think of grumpy old men shaking their fists, yelling from their porches, "Get offa my lawn, you dang hooligans!  I'd chase ya with a stick but my bursitis is flarin' up!  GRRRR!"

Now would be a great time for ibuprofen . . . if it were allowed!  The physical therapist conceded that tylenol would do diddly squat.  At least it only hurts when I walk and get in and out of the car.

Hopefully it'll get better soon!
