Drain Tube Itch

This itch is killing me, It's all under the gauze where the drain tube is. It gets so bad that if I don't rub or attempt to scratch it, I'll go insane. Is there any cure? I know itching is a sign of healing. I just can't stand it. I'm seriously ready to bypass the doctors and take the tube out myself, it hasn't drained anything a few days.

if it smells - clean it - this may be why it itches    -   if it does not smell - clean it -    My advise - is to clean it.   DO NOT TRY TO TAKE IAT OUT YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   There is a reason for this - not sure why other than it is a mile long and is painful.    Good luck
