2nd Annual TN OH Picnic and Walk from Obesity Information and Clothes Swap

Allright everyone, get your calendars and pen, the 2nd Annual TN OH Picnic is going to be this Saturday May 2nd @ noon(ish), we have the shelter from 6am-3pm that day. It is going to be at Two River's Park off of Briely Pkwy, the same exit as the Wave Pool (same park as last years) When you turn into the park stay to your left and  it will be the 1st shelter on the right, it is #2 right next to the small playground. I will try to have balloons or something for everyone to see. I will also have a few games/toys if I can find everything, but feel free to bring some if you have them along with lawn chairs. There are 3 rows of 3 picnic tables at the shelter, there is no electricity. There is a water fountain and spout, but not real sure if they work.Also, if you have any clothes that you have shrunk out of, this is a great opportunity for us to have a swap out. Please let me know by Friday if you are able to come and how many with a breakdown of adults,kids,WLS or not, it doesn't matter, this is open to anyone, anybody, even our four legged friends..............I will have the paperplates,plasticware, napkins and cooler of iced bottle water. Just bring whatever you and or your family will eat and bring your favorite sleeve for your water, we will just put all the food together, that worked our great last year. The cost of the shelter was $25, so if everyone could pitch in whatever they can afford that will be great and everything that is collected will go to the Walk from Obeisty. We will also have registration forms so that you can sign up for the Walk on Satruday Sept. 19th @ 10:00 in Centennial Park, the cost is $25 for adluts and the kids 12 and under can walk for free. Everyone that walks will get a t-shirt and goodie bag. We may have cookbooks there to sale also, I will confirm that over the next few days, if that is a go they will be $10 each. Come on out and lets make this a great day, see some new folks, see some old folks and maybe even see some folks that we have not had the pleasure of meeting yet. Cheryl, I don't think we have anything planned.  I would like to come too.  Are we signing up for food or just bringing whatever we want to?  Is it at the same shelter as last years also, or just in the same vicinity?    Will there be a grill there for cookout foods? 

Melinda, that sounds great. I am just having everyone bring whatever their family will eat and we will just all of the food together like we did last year. It is at the same park, but a differnt shelter, when you come in the park it will be the 1st shelter on the right shelter #2 so you won't turn right and come up the hill like we did last year. I don't think there is a grill there, but you are more than welcome to bring your on. I will go by there later today and see for sure let ya know. If you are able to make it, this would be a great opportunity for you to get some more practice with your new camera.......hint......hint...........LOL

Melinda, there is no grill at the shelter or electricity like I thought. There are lights in the ceiling, so I assumed there was an outlet, but there is not......guess that is what I get for assuming....lol

That's ok Cheryl...  we dont need electricity to have a good time!    Tim said our grill is too small so we won't bring it.  We'll just all have to do some cooking at home and bring some dishes! lol

Count on Connor and I...   I've had this date on my calendar for a while!

Connor's birthday is May 3rd!   He will be three....

It's been awhile since I have been aroung a 3 year old, especailly a boy. What is he into? Does he like Sponge Bob, Bob the Builder, Thomas, etc?

Dinos and horses...  that was his picks for his party!!!  He loves Thomas and Bob...  actually you name it he is probably into it!!  

Micheala, I put our bubbles in the bag... yep I have to start gathering early, I still have NO idea how people with more than one ever get anywhere!!!
