A Smile for Your Weekend

I got an e-mail today that cracked me up.  It was full of little sayings about exercise.  I just thought about how it hadn't been that long ago that this would have been my opinion of exercise.  I thought I would share it with you.  I hope you can see the old you in this as I did.

Just a little corny humor for your weekend enjoyment:

Walking adds minutes to your life.  This enables you, at 85 years old, to spend 5 more months in a nursing home at $7.000.00 per month,.

I have to walk early in the morning before my brain figures out what I am doing.

I joined a health club last year and have not lost a pound.  Apparently you have to go there!

Every time I hear the dirty word exercise I have to wash my mouth out with chocolate.

If you are going to try cross country skiing, start with a SMALL country.

We all get heavier as we get older due to the amount of knowledge we have in our heads.  (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

Every time I get to worrying about how I look, I just find a happy hour somewhere and eventually I look just fine!

I hope this makes you smile as it did me.   That thinking is far behind me!

I loved the one about washing my mouth out with chocolate!!

It's funny how exercise seems to be on our brains today.  I was sitting here after my Saturday morning chores...  and minding my own business....  when suddenly my conscience started pestering me.  Ever notice you can't get a moment's worth of silence with your conscience around?

So I picked up my Daily Diet Devotion... and it said, "Don't feel like exercising today? ... Do It Anyway"

Needless to say, I just got done with my morning routine.  And you know, it really went fast.  I guess I will let conscience come to visit more often!

Mel, this just goes to show that even the veterans of WLS have to have a heart to heart with their conscience from time to time.

Don't tell anyone.......but I am actually enjoying exercising!  I have started missing it when I don't go.  Who would have ever thought.   It's a little easier minus 60 + pounds!  and a new stint in the heart ot get the blood flowing again.
