This is a life change, not a diet, so be prepared for it.  There is no getting back to "the way you were". You will be better!

Right on Marilyn!  (And I gotta tell ya, your new avatar is GREAT!  )

Everybody is so helpful.   Thanks to all of you who have and are going to participate in this thread.  This already contains some great advice!  There is nothing more incredible than the advice and experience of someone who has walked your path.   You all are the best!   Thanks

I agree with all above.  I loved my chapstick and extra pillows were both a must.

Take the pictures.  It really means alot.  I just took my one month picture and I really see a difference that I don't see in the mirror.

I would check with your doctor about all foods and proteins.  You will read alot on here about food or liquids that others are drinking or eating but this is all Dr. preferences and they are ALL DIFFERENT.  You want to do your best so follow all Dr.'s advise.

Like Scott says BREATH...I got frustrated ALOT in the beginning because I felt like I got nothing to eat or drink, but it gets much better.

I spent 2 weeks away from work (drive a school bus).  I think that was plenty for me, but would not have went back at 1 week.

I started feeling normal physically and mentally at 4 weeks, and I am still growing in both.

BOOB's (lol)...I have kinda large started with a 44DD.  I can say at 4 weeks was already shopping for bras.  I went down (in those 4 weeks) to a 38DD.  I am hopping the DD goes down but for now it was bad with the sagging and I had to go smaller around.

Vitamins I get from Celebrate and Bariactric Advantage.com

Hope this helps some.
