I am scheduled for Dr. Houston on April 27th and am sooooooooooooo  excited.  I am wondering if I should be on a diet right now, though?  I know I have clear liquids for 2 days before, but what about one week before?  I guess I'll call the Dr.'s office Monday morning!

It tells all abou it in your Gastric Bypass owners manual. The blue tab that says Pre Operative imformation go to the 2nd page after that blue tab and follow  them directions. But I would call the office and make sure what to do. Congrats on your weight loss surgery.

Dr. Houston would love to see you lose even a few pounds prior to surgery.  It gives him a little more room to do the surgery.  In fact, I haven't heard of any doctor who doesn't like their patients to lose a few pounds prior to surgery.  When I found out I was approved and my date was set, I did high protein and low carbs.  I didn't follow  anything like Atkins, etc. I just cut out fried foods, sweets, and simple carbs.  I lost 10 pounds.

Best wishes on your journey to health.
