Plastic surgeons

Does anyone have a name or two of a great plastic surgeon in Nashville?
I'm new here, so if this needs to be posted somewhere else, please let me know.  :-)

Their are  a lot of great plastic surgeons in hte area - a lot of not so great ones too!  Google Nashville for plastic surgeons and get a list and go from there.  THe one piece of advise I can give - that was given to me - make sure they have done WLS patients before because of our unique issues with blood vessels and such.  THe cost is about the same where ever you go - I have heard that Vandy may be a *****eaper - not sure about that though.  Most of the plastic surgeons I have heard of or researched - I am in that phase - charge about $75 for a consultation.

I just want to mimic the same note that Beth said...  Make sure that you choose a surgeon who has worked on bariatric patients.  Our needs are MUCH different and complex than your average "I've had a few lbs and lost a few"....  our skin, much like a rubberband, has been stretched out (WAY OUT) and there can be some MAJOR complications if the surgeon does not  take a conservative approach in how much skin to take off, and then he can run into a problem with bleeding and not being able to get your skin together...  which can result in many other problems.

There are plastic surgeons who would just love to "break out" into the bariatric community.  Do not be his/her guinea pig.  Make sure they can show you pictures of someone with similar problems as you and how their results ended up.  And, make sure to see the bariatric pics.

Dr. Donald Griffin
Dr. Michael Hueneke
Dr. Lois Wagstrom

*These are people I know have done bariatric patients.  I'm not giving you them in order of preference.  Just a list.  I do know patients of Dr. Griffin, Dr. Hueneke, and Dr. Wagstrom but have heard great things about all of them.
