Hormone releasing still

Greetings all,

Well it has been a while since I last was here. I am now three years out from the RNY wls. I know a long time since we last talk friends. Sorry things got in the way.
I have a question for anyone if you can help me. Do any remember when you had your wls if and when you released those crying hormones? I went through the crying hormones on third week out of my wls and that was three years ago. But about two weeks ago I went through a crying jag that last about a week long. I stop eating and walking and just walked the floors and could not sleep either.  I dropped 16 pounds that I did not really needed too. I was at my weight goal for my body type for the last three years. So it really hit me hard this hormone release. I was wondering am I the only one who is still releasing the store up hormones still? Is anyone else going through this off and on? I know it is hormones because I am acting the same way as the first time I dropped a large amount of weight after surgery. It is just killing me to go through this again after so long. I believe it is over with now. Does anyone know if this will happen again, when you lose more weight?
Thank you all for taking the time to read my posting.
 Sincerely,
Catwoman

I wish I could help, dear. I had a hysterectomy when I was much younger so I haven't had any hormone issues so far. I have seen how difficult they are to deal with though. It might be worth making a call to one of the nurses at Dr. Hodge's office to see what they say. I hope you feel better soon.

You didn't say how old you are but could it be the beginning of menopause? Hormones naturally began to slow down on production during that time and would make you weepy. Maybe a visit to the gyn? Good luck,
Holly

I know what you are talking about with the after surgery.  I am newly out, but I am just now getting back to normal.  I cried and cried and cried...TV shows, reading the posts on here, commercials, absolutely EVERYTHING made me cry.  I really hope that don't happen to me again.  My husband didn't know what to do with me.

I hope you don't have to go thru it again either.

Good luck to you

I know several people who are 3 years out, and I have never heard of this!

My suggestions, see your Doc!  It may be menopause trying to sneak up on you.  Or just a simple case of depressions, which several of us suffer from.

Talk to you Doc!
