11 months yesterday
I now wear a size 34 pants and a size M shirt. I was wearing size 50-52 pants and 3X-4X shirts. This whole journey has been nothing less than amazing so far. I really can't believe what a difference this surgery has made in all aspects of my life - health (physical & mental), work, exercise - every part has been affected for the better!
I'll tell anyone who is considering this surgery that, for me, it was the best thing I ever did to regain my life. Now, as has been said a thousand times, it is not a "magic cure". Educate yourself about the different procedures and what is required before and after surger. To be successful requires dedication, determination, and commitment to following your program and nutrition plan, exercising regularly, and educating yourself about nutrition. But with the help of a WL "tool", and applying that dedication and commitment, you CAN be successful at taking your life back!
I am looking forward to my 11 month testimony. Thanks Bob!

Bob--you just rock! Thanks so much for that post. I was so happy to read it tonight...I know that I am not even two weeks out from having my RNY but I keep having this irrational fear that I am going to be some bariatric freak that this surgery doesn't work for....I am losing every day, so now when the scale is the same in the a.m. as it is in the p.m. (I know, I know...I shouldn't weigh that much!)....I start to worry that this wont work for me and that I won't lose any more weight! Strange, because that isn't like me at all...I'm pretty much a glass 1/2 full kinda girl.
But, reading your post made me realize the amazing things that can and will happen w/this surgery if you just follow the plan laid out before you.
Congrats on your incredible success!!!! Amazing! Not even a year!! Wow...xo, Micheala.
