Goodwill Shopping
I had to clean out my closet and get rid of massive amounts of clothes that were too big! Woopee! Then I closet shopped..(for those who don't know what that is, it is wearing clothes that are in your closet, but you couldn't wear them before surgery because they were to small , but now you can).
After wearing all the clothes that I couldn't wear before, I found that I had no dress pants to wear. It was time for desprate measures. I finally went to the Goodwill. I AM HOOKED! I bought 3 pairs of pants and one pair of shorts for $18.00. Since I'm not going to be able to wear these much longer either, it makes good economic sense to get your bargins where you can.
I don't have a problem wearing someone else's clothes. Some people do. These pants were 2 sizes down from the ones I was wearing prior to surgery. What a wonderful day! I'm sure there will be more days like this....but I can tell you it was great FUN!
Any more bargin suggestions out there?
Another thing I'm looking forward to is yardsales!!!! I watch the paper and plot a course, for the "better" neighborhoods. Again something I used to do for Connor's clothes, and now I'm thinking I might be able to find some too!!
There is also consignment shops in our town, but I"m only down to a 22, so I've not had any luck in there, but I'm hoping when I get down a bit more, I might be able to find somethings in there? I am needing some Sunday clothes, that is the one thing I didn't find at Goodwill, right now I wear the same three jumpers on Sunday. Jumpers work lovely, but I am looking for a change!
Good luck with your shopping and isn't it fun!!
I really can't bring myself to shop in real stores (pay $20 to $50 for a pair of pants, I don't thinks so) especially when in a few weeks the clothes won't fit me.
Be happy.
