Phantom Gall bladder attack?
I had it removed in dec, and all my symptoms were gone for about a month. No pain under my left rib, no constantly running to the potty, no bloating. However i wasnt really eating much either. I had a hard time after my gall bladder removal so i didnt feel like eating. Now that Im back to regular eating (im pre WLS too btw) all the old symptoms are back and WORSE than before. Everything I eat sends me to the bathroom, the pain is back. The dr has ordered a cat scan and a colonoscopy (yuck) but i was wondering if anyone else here had had this happen after their g/b was removed. That was a HARD surgery to get passed and I feel like I did it for nothing, even tho I did have stones.
Hello...
Are you having those pains on your right side towards the back?
If so it might be Crohn's. Not life threatening, but a pain in the butt!
If you are getting a Colonoscopy, they will be able to figure out what the issue is.
I was having problems with going to the bathroom for any type of relief and that's what it was for me.
Before I had my Gallbladder out in 2001, I had two gall stone attacks. They were more like a heart attack then pains in the side with bathroom issues.
Don't worry the colonoscopy will most likely find out what the issue is. BTW don't worry about the procedure itself, be concerned about the day before to get you cleaned out (recommendation: stay home and near a bathroom!)
Good luck.
Michael.
