I'm not certain whether I've posted this before, but the Labrada Company asked me to be part of their blogsite.  I've posted a few times now, and today my third post went up...  You can read it (or not) at this link:

Labrada Blog

He has set aside a special category entitled "Bariatric Corner" and hopefully there are some good things in the works for the future... possibly a Bariatric Club that would include discounts and maybe a forum for bariatric patients to discuss their needs of protein and recipes, etc...  we've discussed it before but at the time, I just wasn't able to be a moderator due to house remodeling.  I am happy that they have so warmly embraced the bariatric community and are making efforts for future endeavors with us.

Melinda,
I have been to the Labrada Blog and I must say I am very impressed with your blogs.  They are very informative and tell the story that needs to be told to those out there that might not know a lot about bariatrics and the ins/outs of the life we now live.  Thanks for letting the board know about this and keep up the good work.  You are doing an awesome job and I applaud your success.

Thank you for that nice note of confidence.  That really made my day!  I am so lucky and blessed to have wonderful friends and a support system...  Sometimes you just want to toss in the towel and say "I don't want to do this" and then there are other times where there are lingering doubts, "Can I even do this?"  Or "Should I do this?"  But when those old voices play, ya just gotta shut off the tape player and refuse to listen any longer! lol

It's nice to have friends who say "I believe in you, even when you don't believe in yourself."  Or better yet, slap you in the head when you do something stupid and say "cut the crap, girl"!  Or, in some cases, "put the biscuit down, and no one will get hurt!"  Note to the new folks:  There are some wonderful people here who pushed me farther than I ever thought I could go... and they believed in me when I didn't believe in myself...  if you want to go far, just lean on those here.  They will encourage and uplift you.
