 Thanks, Dennie!!!

How you feeling after your switcheroo?

It's a good thing y'all are losing so much weight--there'll be enough space on the loser's bench for me 'cause all the butts over there will be so small!

Have I told you that I really like your name?  Oh yeah, um, and while I'm telling you things, um, psst.  Your dress is tucked into your hose!

 Thanks, Karen!

It's been almost 3 weeks--how are you feeling?  Does it seem like it has been that long to you?  I swear, time flies around here.

I'm looking forward to my surgery and I'm just happy to finally have a date.  Now I can start making some plans.  I don't do very well with open ended things.  I'm having surgery in the spring.  Too vague.  Now I can make sure I have my house clean by the 6th!  Why I need surgery to encourage me to clean my house is beyond me.  Go figure!  Why should I start making sense now, anyway?

Thanks again!

I'm feeling really good, Denise. Thanks for asking. My weight loss isn't really fast and I may have just hit my first stall, but I'm not discouraged at all. I will keep the faith as long as I know I'm on plan.

I know what you mean about getting the house cleaned before surgery. I felt the same way and we actually did get it done. I was nervous about leaving all my kids here (grown kids, but messy) knowing what kind of mess I would probably come hometo. It wasn't bad though. They surprised me.

Keep us posted, Denise. We are all excited for you.

Blessings,
Karen

I'm glad you're doing so well!  And 39 pounds is nothing to sneeze at.

At least you know what to expect and that it is a journey and not a hassle free trip to skinnydom.  As much as we know about how everything functions, the body's gonna do what the body needs to do.

I was at a support group meeting and this woman was like, "I'll lose 3 pounds a week and by the time 6 months pass I will be at goal weight."  HUH?  That would be nice, but with the band and if you don't follow the rules perfectly and exercise, you can throw that thought right out the window.  It's not that simple!  The nurse tried to explain to her that it's not quite that straightforward, but I'm not sure she heard-heard it.

That's funny about the kids and expecting a mess when you got home.  It's great that they did good by ya and didn't fill the sink with dirty dishes.  I'm sure I'll leave with relatively clean floors and will come home to about 3" of dog fur!  Who laid carpet while I was gone? Oh.  Just the dogs!

Hang in there, Karen, as I'm sure this stall will pass in no time!
