Update

Thanks, Marilyn. It is so strange about the cold. The whole first day and night in the hospital I was only allowed to have ice chips and those went down very well. No cramps or anything. I really thought I would do better with cold. I guess I will just take it day by day for now as to what I can tolerate.

It's great that the protein is going down easy for you, as it is so critical.  However, it's so interesting to see the little things that affect people, like the cold water being intolerable for you.  It's the same but different for everyone and just goes to show that you never really know what to expect no matter how much you prepare.

I'm glad your tastes haven't changed and your pre-op stuff is still as tasty as they were before.  That surely makes post op life easier!  Mmmm, cream soups.  Yummy!

Take all the time you need to rest and heal.  Don't push yourself too hard and enjoy the beginning of your new life!

Thanks, Denise. I'm sure things will be different a few weeks from now. I realize things could have turned out much harder for me. I"m very grateful to be having as few problems as I have.
