OT New furbaby
I just wanted to post about the new addition to our family. We adopted a gray and white kitten today from an agency that places feral kittens. She is beautiful but very nervous. We have named her Skitter. As soon as she gets settled in and comes out from under the bed, I will take some photos and post them. Her body and face are mostly gray but there is a white "collar" around her neck and her underbelly and paws are also white. She is loving and loves to be petted but there were some tense moments, when Scamper, our other cat, greeted her when we got home today. I'm confident that Skitter will settle in but it is hard to see her cowering under the bed now. Anyway, I'm thrilled to have a new baby and thought I would share.
Blessings,

Becoming a new pet mother is so exciting. I am so glad you adopted a feral kitty. Because of where we live, pregnant momma cats are dropped off in the area all the time. I can't help but feed them and try to get them help. We have had several kittens adopted through the pet store on Dolly Parton Pkwy. Unfortunately, the mommas are hard to catch! We have managed to get a few caught and spayed and they have become barn cats. We have also kept a few of the kittens ourselves and given them away. Two of them are my grandkittens! Enjoy you baby!

Thanks, Marilyn. That pet store over by China 1 on Dolly Parton is where we got Skitters. They have so many for adoption over there. I wish we had room for more as I love cats. It seems funny now as I used to be a dog person. Skitters came out from under the bed at around 5 am and wanted to play with us. She is doing much better about being around us as long as we don't make any sudden movements. Now we just have to hope she adjust to our other cat, Scamper.

Congrats on the new baby. I work in our county to help rescue feral cats so I am always glad to hear when they are adopted. I fall in love with all of them, and they are very loving and playful when they get used to you. My legs look like scratching posts but I just can't help loving thosed babies, I have 4 moms with babies right now , when they ween they will get spayed. Kudos to you for adopting a new baby, from the crazy cat lady. LOL

I thought I was the crazy cat lady!! I have 4 cats inside and wouldn't give them up for nothing. Congrats Karen on the new baby. I just love having a baby kitten around. They are soooo sweet!! I've got Annie, she's 4. General Lee and Grizzly (brothers I adopted from shelter) are 2 and Casey is 1 year old stray that showed up on my back porch last october. Annie was also a stray who showed up on the porch. We think her and Casey have the same mother. They don't like each other at all. They are all spoiled rotten and I love it!! General Lee has got a gray coat with white belly and a white "belt" around his middle. That's how he got his name!! Hubby named him!
Anyway, congrats on Skitter and good luck. Can't wait to see pictures.
