 I guess have to say thank you for the power of your thoughts and prayers. I received a letter in the mail from my insurance company...they have approved my PLASTICS!!!!! This just proves how the power of prayer can work.

Congratulations, Gidget!  What procedures are you having done and by whom, if you don't mind me asking? 

 I am not sure what all I need done. I do however KNOW my tummy and breasts.  I will be using Dr Steely. That is who my insurance company approved this thru. So I don't really have a choice of the Dr. I know he is a great doctor though. He was my original surgeon for my RNY. I am thanking my lucky stars that I am able to go off post and not have to be cut open by an Army Dr.

If I recall correctly ladies, Article 4, Section 2, Paragraph 3 of the By-Laws and Rules Manual requires that women MUST post photographs of any plastic surgeries that they have performed within 12 weeks after the surgery. 

 I believe Bob L. and Scott will back me up on this.

CONGRATS GIDGET!!!!!!!  That is my next move. If I may ask..... How did you go about getting tis done? What are the requirements etc???  I am in desperate need of the tummy and breasts. Been working out and nothing seems to be working.  CONGRATS AGAIN!!!!! You deserve it!!!

 I went to the blue clinic and showed them how bad everything is sagging. Plus they saw the infection in my belly button. I told them when I had my surgery and how much I have lost. She put it in the computer and sent it to Tricare. It took about 10 days to get my approval letter.

That is great. SO are they doing the breast lift or reduction? Tummy tuck or just the pani? I went to vandy a few months back and they told me that tricare would only pay for a reduction equal to 1 lb from each breast and that my stomach skin must touch my thghs and that all they can do is cut the skin off and not the whole tuck. Have things changed since then? I could really use the lift but no reduction, there would be nothing left then   lol. I have documented cases of rashes under my breasts and the bends of my legs at the tigh and tourso.  i guess I just need to go to my primary care doc and have her send me back to dr. steely.

 I have to get a consult with Dr Steely to find out exactly what he is able to do for me. Did you know that Dr Blalock also takes Tricare. If I don't like what Dr Steely has to say then I am going to get my referal switched to Dr Blalock. Time will tell, I will let you know what Dr Steely says as soon as I get my consult.
