VERY ANXIOUS

HEY U ALL I AM GETTING VERY ANXIOUS. I AM NOW AWAITING APPROVAL FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING. PLUS THE DOCTORS OFFICE TOOK FOREVER TO SUBMIT MY PAPERS TO INSURANCE I WAS SUPER MAD. OH AND I KNOW THE INSURANCE PEOPLE ARE GETTING TIRED OF ME CALLING CUS I CALL EVERYDAY AND ALL THEY KEEP SAYING IS THAT THEY HAVENT RECEIVED ANYTHING. SO DANG WHO IS MESSING UP THE DOCTORS OFFICE OF INSURANCE!!!!!!!!!!! SO HAS ANY OF U WENT THRU THIS WAITING PERIOD AND SO MUCH HAS WENT THRU UR MIND, UR RESTLESS IMPATIENT? WHAT CAN I DO TO CALM MY MIND AND FIND OUT SOME GUD NEWS?

renee, I wish I had a magic wand but it's one of those frustrating things we all seem to go through. It doesn't seem to matter what WLS staff it seems at that point they all lack the ability to get the paperwork where it needs to go. I think its their little test to see how good your nerves are. Not much help I know but I feel for you.  C'ya Bob 

Hang in there Renee!  It seems we have all been through the same thing. Although it is not the norm, most people have the hurry up and wait syndrome.  I called my insurance company so many times, I swear they could tell it was just me by the sound the phone rang!  I even tried using several different phones, but it didn't work! LOL!!!! It will happen when the time is right.  So, jump in, ask questions and hang on!  It's the ride of a lifetime!

Don't feel bad about calling the insurance company. This is what you pay them high dollars for. I called everyday (sometimes more). Depending on who your carrier is, one department may not know if the approvals department got the paperwork. They won't be able to see it in the system for days but the approvals department may already have received it and working on it. I think I hated that waiting period more than anything. But hang in there. Keep calling. Because you want to make sure they do get it. And once they confirm they got it, I would keep calling to see if it has been approved. Good luck on your approval.

Hello Renee and welcome!

You have gotten the best advice from some of the veterans of WLS but to let you know that I do think it's something that we all go thru, I'm a Medicare recipient, government insurance, and I had to wait 9 weeks. you wouldn't think that from an insurance company that didn't require a dr supervised diet, but now does, but it happened. Just hang in there and don't let go, it will happen for you. Stay on top of the game!

THANK U ALL U HAVE BEEN ENCOURAGING. CUS AS OF TODAY I CALLED INSURANCE ONCE AGAIN AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE FINALLY RECEIVED MY PAPERWORK!!!! HORRAY. SO ALL NOW I HAVE TO DO IS WAIT FOR THE DATE. MAN ITS STARTING TO GET SO REAL.. BUT KEEP ME IN YA PRAYERS. THEY TOLD ME TO CHECK IN ABOUT THREE DAYS TO FIND OUT IF IM APPROVED OR NOT SO KEEP YA FINGERS CROSSED
