Tennessee's Most Wanted!

I know in life, things come up that distract us and we prioritize the best we can. Saying that I haven't heard from the following folk's and just wanted them to know we're thinking of them. Number Seven Reporting In: I am just overwhelmed with honor at being on this list!  I have been through an ordeal that challenged everyone concerned with me, and most especially my physicians.  First and foremost, I want everyone to know that my gastric bypass surgery on April 14, 2008, was surely the most successful in history!  I have not had the first problem with it to this moment.  My weight loss is ahead of the norm, and the entire process (surgery, recovery, etc.) has been "a walk in the park"--thanks to Dr. Albert Spaw and his fantastic staff.  BUT, something happened during that process that we've had a difficult time figuring out.  I became unable to walk at times, with muscle spasms all over my back.  I'd get better, then worse again.  After two hospitalizations and every test the docs could think of, it seems apparent that I have a condition called "Polymyalgia Rheumatica" and I finally believe I am on the road to much needed and appreciated recovery and wellness.  My late Mother had a similar ordeal many years before she died.  I was certain all along that my problem did not stem from my wls, but it was a bit tiresome explaining that to people, so i just didn't try.  I am, I repeat, so happy to be remembered.  I am also off the pureed food and getting adjusted to regular food, so maybe next month I can participate in the lunch bunch again!!

Well number 7,  (#1 in my book) I'm glad to hear from you! Sounds like you/they are trying to figure out the Poly.@#! Can't say it, can't spell it, like I told Trina thats why I drive a truck! Hope the weight loss helps with the back spasm as well. I know normal joint pain that I experienced pre-op has disappeared. C'ya Bob

#1 - I dont know where she has been.  I hope she is ok despite our differences. #4 - Yes I am missing her too as I've emailed but no reply...  her blogs haven't been updated so I am sure she's just very busy... I hope that's the case.  #7 - Good to hear from you again!

Hey Juanita & all,    I am here. I read all the posts 3 or 4 times a day. Got tired of trying to get approved & gave up for the time being. I know that is exactly what they wanted me to do.   We have hopefully sold our house. All our girls are gone & married so we thought we would down size & pay off a lot of bills. It will be a change from what I had but with age & bills we made the right choice. We are hoping to close next week. Then began the packing & moving. We have found a nice brick house to rent until we find the perfect house to buy. Not many choices in a small town. We decided we were in no hurry.     My prayers are with each of you daily. I never forget in any prayer to be with all the OH members. Even though I don't chat much, I feel like I know & care each of you.     anyone heard from Kym or Letica? There are tons missing. I just hope they are doing so good they have just gone on with a normal life. Thanks for missing me, Ellen

  Thank you so much for thinking about me...  I always wanted to be on the Tennessee Most Wanted list....  I get to be wanted and not have to try and make bail all at the same time.... LOL 

  Things have been staying pretty crazy around here....  Seems that my family here of late has not been able to stay away from hospitals...  Kevin has been in Baptist since last Saturday.  I was able to get him out yesterday morning...  They are still not sure what happened to him but they are really leaning towards the notion that he was bitten on the arm by a brown recluse spider.  It made him pretty sick and he is still struggling...  He is such a trooper and at work in a lot of pain... He is my hero and I wish there was something I could do to make it all go away...

  LOL, makes me wish I was studying with the Dali Lama, but instead I have become real acquainted with some of the areas finest medical professionals...  We are on first name basis..

  Bob L., Thank you so much for the support and concern that you give to us unconditionally..  I know personally that it makes it much easier to get through a trying day when someone out there actually cares.... 

  It is so good to see Ms. Jane post....  I think about her so often and seeing her post made me smile...  Thanks Bob for that....
