I THINK I AM STARVING- Please help
Okay, but I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but after surgery you are not to chew gum either, so you may want to stop that habit now if you think it might become a hard habit to break after surgery. The reason they do not want us to chew gum is in case you accidently swallow it and it will get stuck in our pouch either going in or coming out, then surgery may be needed to remove it, so no gum.... Sorry to deliver this news, but I sure would not want you to find out too late!!!
You can and will do this!!

I am on my pre op diet as well, and I am hungry!!! One thing I am doing is adding ice to my slim fast in a blender so I actually have to use a spoon to EAT IT...that seems to help tremendously!!! But I feel your pain...I am physically hungry...something I havent felt in a long long time!!! I have 4 more days, and it is killing me!!! My doc doesn't require a full liquid diet at all I get meals at night!
Hey Chrissy,
I bet you are so excited about your surgery in 4 days. Please keep us updated!!! I have to begin all liquids on Tuesday, which is also my pre-op labs. Boy...what an enjoyable day I am going to have. I am going to ask them tomorrow if I can eat a little something. I have to drive 2 hours to get there and 2 hours back. I am also going to the support group tomorrow night at 5:30. Are you going? I would love to meet you in person! It's going to be a long day without FOOD!!! See ya
