Just want to let everyone know that the Kroger's @ Providence has the Pure Protein 20g bars 10 for $10.00. They had I think 4 different flavors and we got some of all of them. Cheryl

Hi, Cheryl, I've been checking out protein bars for future reference and was wondering about something. I know we want as much protein as possible but what should be our limit on the bars as far as carbs are concerned. Some of the ones I've seen seem to have an awful lot of carbs. What should I be looking for? Blessings, Karen

Karen, of course the best bar would be high in protien and low in carbs. All I do is just read all I can in the stores before I buy. Alot of folks on here know heck of alot more than I do.......lol. One of the things to remember that just about every doctor is a little different in one way or the other. But if you can find a high protein, low carbs, low sodium and you like it and it is not too expensive, buy one and try it. I was shocked when I found them today at Kroger. I have been buying most of mine at Vitamin Shoppe and they are more expesive there. But I still have to buy my Cytospor****ermelon and tangerine there, I can't find them anywhere else local. I'm thinking about getting some off the internet, my problem is the ones that I have seen on the internet I have to buy a whole case. So it's cheaper on me just to by one or two when I have the money and what to treat myself. ALSO!!!!!!!!! be ware of the sugar content I found it hard to find a good protein bar that did not have a lot of sugar in it.
