Finally...I Can Post Instead Of Lurking

Okay, the news I have been waiting for! I was minding my own business when my cell phone rings and it's Cynthia from Vanderbilt telling me that she was going to have my last two pre-op appointments scheduled, well, I thought it would be a few days or longer before they would call me. I was wrong. I got a call this morning before 9:00 and it was Vanderbilt again scheduling me to see Dr. Richards and my last pre-op nutritional appointment with my dietician. I will be seeing them both on July the 10th. I can't believe this is finally happening for me. I have also lost more weight, in hopes that I will be able to get to or below my goal weight after surgery. So far I have dropped 65 pounds. I'm so excited I'm pacing the floor.

Thank you Beth! This was my starting point, I didn't have an avatar pic posted, well, I did but deleted it and now I have posted another. That it me as of now. I will definitely need help from some of the bigger losers, such as yourself.

Congrats DianeJ. It will go fast now. Welcome to the board. I'm originally from Fayetteville, TN and I'm very familiar with Shelbyville because they always beat us sooooo bad in basketball when I played for Lincoln County High. lol

Thank You Cheryl. I will truly post more often now that things have began to speed up. I would love to come to the picnic but I am currently having to borrow a car to get around and now that one is in the shop. I'm looking forward to getting a new car within the next month or so.

Diane

P.S. It won't always be bad for me. I try to stay positive and some days that's hard but I focus on the good things that God has done for me and the day usually gets better.

About time! . Just kidding. It sounds like Vandy is finally getting to it for you. I just wish they could get you in before July but at least you know now and that is all that is left before your approval and scheduling your surgery date. Won't be too long now. It has been a long time coming for you. Wow- 65 pounds. You are doing great and are obviously determined to lose weight. Sounds like you are really prepared for your new life style after surgery. Keep in touch. Talk to you soon.

I know, I know! My time is long overdue, to me, anyway, but God allows everything to happen in His own time. I wanted it last year..but not. I will always keep you informed about what's going on and you know that. Yeah, I am more than determined to lose this weight. It has been a journey so far and I know the best is yet to come. I'll talk to you soon! Take care little mama.

Congrats on the weight loss, Diane and for moving ahead in the process. Remember to breathe while you are pacing. It is good exercise. Blessings, Karen
