I may be relocating to Tennessee later this year and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a doctor.  I am really nervous about having to find a new bariatric surgeon after 2 years, but I have no idea of one doctor from another, so if anyone could give me some referrals and info I would be grateful.          I will be moving to middle Tennessee area. Thanks Veekay

Sorry, I'm not in Middle TN... I am sure there is someone here in the Nashville area that can recommend one.  If you were in East TN... I'd recommend my Dr... Dr. Williams or Dr. Boyce. Good luck! Jenspen

All of the doctors at Baptist Metabolic Surgery Center are great! I happen to believe my surgeon, Dr. Albert Spaw is the best though. LOL  Dr. Spaw is very easy to talk to and he actually listens to you. He is also a huge cheerleader for us on our journey. He doesn't take much of a "wait & see" attitude if one of us calls in with a concern. He wants to make sure what is going on as much as we do. I think you would be very pleased with the entire staff at the center as well as the support group.

Thank you for the input, we will only be an hour from Nashville, so I guess that would be a possibility. I have been looking at the the posts and it seems alot of folks have Dr Spaw, so perhaps he may be worth checking into. Once again, thank you VeeKay

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that Vanderbilt University and Hospital is here in Nashville! Vanderbilt has an great program and Dr. Richards the head surgeon  "..is the best he is World-Renowned" (as the psych nurse who did my exam told me :) http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/root/vumc.php?site=bariatric I have my appointment this comming Month to meet him for the first time, and I have only heard good things about his care so far. Vanderbilt seems to have all their ducks in a row for a good program including follow up care and response time. Good luck on your move its beautiful country, I came here 15 years ago and just cant find it in me to leave!!
