TN Forum Picnic
I need input!!!!! I need to know which day (Sat or Sun) is best for everyone. I am thinking the weekend of 05/17 or 05/24. I think that Two River's Park by the Wave Pool is a good choice. There is a large playground and a skate park close by one of the shelters. I figured most people can get to Briley Pkwy. from just about any Interstate. I will be calling tomorrow to see what all I need to do to reserve this shelter. The Wave Pool doesn't open until 05/31, so there won't be a problem with a overflow of people from that. I'm not sure how ya'll want to do this. I was thinking that every famliy would just bring enough food and drinks for their family and we would put all the food together. If you wanted to grill that would be fine, but you would need to bring everything for that. Or we could just to a list type of thing, however ya'll want to do it. I will be checking to see if there is a grill at the shelter. I will also see if there is electricity there. I do know that the shelters can be rented for either a half day 6am-3pm or 3pm-11pm, or the whole day 6am-11pm. I think just getting it for a half a day would be just fine, I am leaning towards the 3pm-11pm. I'm thinking that we could use the picnic tables for the food and stuff and everyone bring lawn chairs. Give me your ideas and let me know what ya'll think. I will get a better head count once I decide for sure on the day and date and once I talk to the Parks and Recreation tomorrow. This is open to the whole board and whoever elese wants to join us. Looking forward to reading alot of input. Cheryl
The weekend of the 17th is good for me.....the 24th I'm headed to the BEACH......I can do saturday or sunday but for me sunday would be better but what the majority can make is fine with me.....I'm thinking everyone bringing their own food would be easier to organize but I'll help do either one just tell me what you need me to do.......

Cheryl, I like the 17th better for me, I am so excited about this and I was actually going to suggest that location, because it is so nice, however I would think maybe we should get the entire day, because we do have many that travel and it might be easier to keep 1:00 time or even a little earlier, I think it is just 10.00 more and we could all pitch in a couple of dollars, that should not be a problem. It sounds like lots of fun, can't wait. I am excited you are doing this after I am out of school and before my surgery, because I was not going to be able to attend the Lunch Bunch on Mother's Day weekend, due to my last and the hardest final due on Mother's Day. Plus the night of the Dinner Club, Todd and I are having a small surprise birthday party for Dale since his birthday is on Saturday the 31st. Let me know if I can help in anyway!!!
The hood is still available too, Barb.......but you'll have to hang on tight going across the mountains at Asheville, NC........bet you'd have a heck of a tan by the time we got there (either sun or wind burn.....hehehe)...........love ya
