Remember the story written by Judy Bloom?  Mostly it was about a teenage girl who was on her period, I think.  Well.  I am going to rewrite this book and call it "Are you there God? It's Me, Melinda." And it will be about my neverending period!  Good gracious the dreaded visitor keeps coming every week!  I'm on again, off again, on again...  It is driving me crazy!   My tummy hurts.  I feel bloated.  My tummy feels like I have crammed a hole entire turkey down in to it and my ovaries!  And I haven't hardly eaten a single thing all day!  EErrrrr!

I do remember that book; loved it when I was a kid!  I sure hope you have talked to or seen your GYN!!!!!!   If not, you need to do so.  I hope you get to feeling better soon.  As you're having cramps, I'm having contractions!!!  We can sympathize with each other!  lol   ~~Elena

OMG Elena I sure am going to stay on this board to keep getting updates... I want to come see you in the hospital.  You do have someone that will let us know when you get there??!! Now I think your contractions are much more cause for sympathy than my piddly ole cramps!  The closest I've ever come or probably ever will is when I had a kidney stone.  Gave birth to a .5 cm calcium deposit!  LOL

LOL Melinda.  At least with delivering a baby, if it gets too bad, I can get an epidural!!!  No such luck passing a calcium deposit!  lol  I have Sheila on the cell phone and I also have Paula's number.  We'll give them a call when there's an announcement to be made! Thanks for the concern!  ~~Elena

Hey Melinda!   I do know the feeling oh so well!!  My OB said it was because of the weight loss, but yours should have slowed down now since you are at a stable weight.  You need to get into one SOON, OH VERY SOON!  Don't like to be an alarmist, but there could be some serious issues here.   Please promise us you will call the FIRST thing Monday morning and make the appointment!  Be persistant that you need to see the OB and not the PA or Nurse.  You work in a a hospital, you know the drill.   BTW, thank for the jewlery, I looked fabulous darling!    Beth

I will surely contact my gyn tomorrow and let them know.  I will have to look back on other posts and see when exactly my other periods were...  that way they can document it and see what we can do about getting insurance to pay for the other birth control.  I surely hate it!  Beth, you and Scott looked so great in your prom pictures.  I am so proud and happy for you both!

Melinda I totally understand. I used to stay on 3 weeks and go off one week and couldn't walk for 2 days out of the month because of cramps. I delivered my son in Dec. of 1992 and bled until April of '93 !!!!! I ended up with a hysterectomy that May and my son was just 6 months old and I was 26. I haven't missed it at all. ((hugs))

I have an appt this morning at the gyn's office.  The lady said she felt that he would surely want to see me.  I agreed!   So I looked back and realized here are the dates of my period that I can find: Weekend of March 28th - 30th Weekend of April 11th - 13th Weekend of April 25th - 27th I am having periods every two weeks.  I called my insurance about the IUD.  There is an exclusion in my policy (why do I feel that it was easier to get gastric bypass than it was for a stinkin' birth control??).  Anyway...  I am going to write  a letter and gather records much like I did when trying to get the wls...  submit it, and it will go before a board.  We'll see.
