Pain in the Toukas
Back some time ago, I put out a question regarding the unrelenting pain I was having in my tailbone. Some that responded indicated it was just a normal part of the process of us losing weight. Well, I realized the other day that my tailbone was no longer hurting. So, I began to question why that was. At first, I thought, "Oh my goodness, I'm gaining weight", but my scales didn't lie to me and I'm not. So, I continued to think about it and then I decided to ask my chiropractor about it. He knew that I had begun working out and he suggested it was probably because I had begun working out and was strengthening the muscles, ligaments, and tendons in my back and buttock region and that was helping with the pain I had been having.
So, for those of you that are experiencing pain in your tailbone region, and you aren't already exercising, you might think about adding that as an additional tool. If you are working out, but are still experiencing pain in that area, you might consult with a personal trainer to find additional exercises that will help strengthen that particular area and see if it works.
Now I thought I was the only one who used that word: touckas. LOL. I also use the word "arse"... lol
Lately, I have noticed that when Tim parks too close to a car next to me, I say "I don't have enough room to get out!" Once, my aunt had to pull the van up so I could get out of the vehicle, and I was embarrassed! But I always end up cracking the door just a bit, and sliding out without even my door touching the other car!
Also, when walking through a parking lot, I recently noticed that I no longer step sideways to scoot through cars to get to where I am going.
Maneuvering through a restaurant to get to the restroom was a chore. I avoided the bathroom at ALMOST all costs... LOL. Not enough to pee on myself mind you, but to the point where I was dancing the peepee dance when I got home!! Now I actually do not mind getting up and about... I now find that I only have to say "Excuse me" to get through a small place if I have my honking pocket book/duffle bag, which whops people in the head!
You know, I have never thought about that. I didn't realize exercising helped it until you just mentioned it. I remember before I got pregnant I had gotten into jogging and even completed my first 5k marathon jogging. Now that I think about it, when I was training and jogging everyday, I did not have the toukas pain. But, I think I still had those pains when I was doing my circuit gym after surgery (weight training, bike,,etc). I just remember not having any when I would walk everyday or jog. So, maybe walking helps more than anything? Hmmm- You bring up a good point to think about. I appreciate the info! Anything that helps- right?

Have you ever watched Celebrity Fit Club on VH1? Well, Scott is a celebrity to us, so we could probably get him in. I'm just wondering how he would do with Harvey the Drill Instructor. Since my father was a Drill Instructor, we could have our own Fit Club and I could be the Drill Instructor. What do you think?
