Update on Sluggish and Tired

I drug myself out of bed this morning and came into work - sluggish, but ok.  Ok, so I talked with Danita (surgeon's nurse) 1st thing this morning.  She thinks there is most likely an iron and a B-12 deficiency on some level.  So, here is the plan of action, for now, changing my Centrum vitamins to Centrum Performance as they have more B-12 in them, adding an additional iron supplement, and a B-12 sublingual supplement.  Then on May 1, she and I are going to touch base to see how I'm doing.  If no better, then I am to come in for labs.  However, in the meantime, if things get worse or really don't seem to be improving at all, then I am to go ahead and go in for labs.  Hopefully, this will resolve the issue and I will feel more like myself.  I really hate being so tired and just feeling discombobulated and unable to concentrate on what I'm doing.  Case in point.  Yesterday, I noticed my husband's tea pitcher was empty.  So, I decided to make him a fresh pitcher to have when he came home from work.  We have a Mr. Coffee Tea Machine.  I added the water to the canister, put in the tea bags, and added the sugar to the pitcher.  Then I proceeded to start the machine, all the while believing I had put the pitcher right under the spout to catch the hot fresh made tea.  Well, imagine my amazement when my husband came home and went about his business and then proceeded into the kitchen in his shoeless feet to be met with a sopping wet mess on the floor.  Not only was the mess on the floor, but it had managed to seep into the cabinet under the sink as well as the dishwasher.  I guess I lost my train of thought and neglected to push the pitcher completely under the spout to catch the tea.  I also walked off and left my blow dryer running the other day and forgot to finish getting completely dressed - but that is a whole other story and one I don't care to divulge at this point. So, pay attention to your body because it will tell you when something is not right.  When you feel that way, be sure to call your doctor's office to let them know what is going on.  Hopefully, all this will work and I'll be back to myself in a week or so.  Will give an update later as to how this has worked.

Thanks Paula, I appreciate your concern.  My husband was talking about you the other day and said he would love to just sit and listen to you tell stories about your family.  He really enjoyed meeting all of you on Saturday that he had not previously met at the Dinner Club last month.  He thinks you and Ms. Freddie are an absolute hoot.
