afaird that I am eating too much
Joyce,
I am afraid that you might not be drinking enough. You can get very dehydrated easily if you have a virus. You need to contact your gastric surgeon's office, tell them you think you have the flu. My surgeon had suggested that I take some gatorade, water it wayyyy down, and drink on that because he was afraid I needed the nutrients and liquids... That was about 8 mos ago, right after my tummy tuck and I had a touch of something... I forced down other liquids and it got better, but I was afraid of the gatorade since it does have sugars in it... even if he did say dilute it... I WAS AFRAID, VERY AFRAID... LOL.... dumping kinda does that to ya... got it once, surely dont ever want it again!
Seriuosly, call your docs office. I surely hope you get to feeling better... that old nasty flu bug is just the pits....
Joyce,
Another thought... what do your food logs say that you are eating each day? Do you use a program like Fitday.com or TheDailyPlate.com? This will help you be on the spot in knowing daily intake for calories, carbs, sugars, fats, proteins... it is a very helpful thing to do... we always need to be "in the know" as to what we are consuming. That way if we have stalls, plateaus, etc, we can take a look at our logs and say "ohhhh ok, thats what I did wrong... that's what I did right!"
35 pounds is great. I would say you are doing fine. I am sorry you have been sick. That will take a lot out of you. Make sure you are getting in at least 64 oz a day. That is most important when you are sick. If you can't get that in, you need to call the Doc and go in for fluids. It is so easy to get dehydrated after this surgery and when you are sick and get dehydrated, it is really hard on your body and can stall your weight loss.
I am not sure if you are eating too much since you didn't really say what your routine is but I doubt you are. At this stage, it is very hard to eat to much as long as you are sticking to the recommendations by your Dr. So, I am sure you are doing fine and the weight loss shows that. Hang in there and I hope you get to feeling better soon.
