Whad'ya Eat Today? Weds.
Good afternoon! Hope you are having a wonderful, cheerful day in the Tennessee sunshine! The weather is absolutely gorgeous and I am not freezing to death! That in itself is a gastric bypass miracle! It's that time again... to post our daily food choices... out of curiosity, how did you fare in your food choices today? Was your tummy applauding you... or booing and regurgitating food? Ick... scary thought... Let's see how we did today.
*I'm posting this early but will give a check back later in the evening. A few former co-workers are getting together for a birthday celebration... I have gift in hand... and a plan for what my meal will be. If I change my mind, its always going to be the chicken! OH so predictable!

Supper 4 bites of chili from Logan's... yuck. Made my stomach hurt! I had a little sour cream in it. At home, resorted to a Mocha Frappuccino made from Matrix Chocolate. Cooled my tummy down from that hot chili. If you are wondering where this eating plan came from, its from Bariatric Eating's website. Susan Maria's Basic Bariatric Eating Plan . It also includes what meals and when you should take your vitamins, calcium, b12, etc. It is very helpful in my wls journey. Don't forget your vitamins, calcium, B12, iron, Vit D!

Hey Melinda. Here is mine for today. - As usual- I eat the same thing everyday for breakfast and daytime snacks. Just my lunch and dinner change. I guess I don't like messing with a good thing and I like it!
Breakfast (6:45 am) - Southwest Egg Beaters with cheese and salsa; one piece of whole grain/wheat toast with SF preserves
Morning Snack (9:30) - one banana
Lunch (11:30) - 1/2 a grilled chicken wrap (wheat) with lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese and ranch; some cut up fruit (peaches, grapes, canteloupe)
1st Afternoon Snack (2:30) - Yoplait Light Yogurt
2nd Afternoon Snack (4:30) - Powercrunch Bar
Dinner (6:30-7:00) - Beef lasagna - processed from a box so I hope it is good!
Late night snack (9:00) - usually something SF and sweet! I have found these boxes of Freshley low sugar treats (Walmart) in twinkies, creme filled chocolate cupcakes, nutty buddies and oatmeal creme cookies (no/low sugar versions of Little Debbies) so I usually have one of those at night or some no sugar added ice cream.
Vitamins - Multi. Thats about it. I STINK at taking my calcium with Vit D. I can't stomach taking 4-5 pills a day. I bought some and thought I could but it is not working out really well. I just ordered some of the BA lozenges yesterday in Cherry so hopefully I can tolerate those and they get here soon or my DR will be upset with me! Booo- Citracal for canceling my favorite chews.
Exercise - Yeah right! Just getting out of bed and working a full time job is about all I can muster these days. I am TIRED oh so TIRED!!!

Well an update on the Logan's visit... had a few peanuts to start. Food came... food sat... food got shoved into a "to go" cup. I ordered the chili, as planned. It was so spicy hot that I could only eat 4 bites... and that was with some sour cream to cool it down! Whoa momma! Tim is sitting here eating the leftovers... it smells fabulous, but my heavens it burned my stomach so bad! So I came home as soon as it was over... an hour earlier than I thought I would get home... and now I am about to eat something to make my tummy calm down... like a yogurt or protein shake. Whew!
Carbmaster yogurt comes from Kroger. It's their brand... it comes in strawberry, vanilla, rasberry and peach. You can't get rasberry at all stores though but it is good!
If you can't find it, make sure to ask. They have several kinds of their own brand, and it has 4 carbs, 3 sugars, 12 g protein. Its the only one witih this nutritional stat of protein out of all yogurts that i have ever found... most yogurts have a lot of sugar, but this one does not.
I used to hate yogurt, but the carbmaster is thick... I like that. I have grown to love the vanilla the best, witih some Kay's Naturals protein cereal in it, or 2 tblsp of Bear Naked Granola. It is awesome! And 45 cents each!! Can't beat the price!
Breakfast
Kroger Carb Master Peach Yogurt
Special K protein cereal dry
Lunch
6 fish sticks.... I know but my 2 year old didn't eat them so I will fit them into my eating budget today
Dinner
Grilled chicken, salsa, cheese melted on top and some spinach souffle
Snack
9pm Diet Swiss Miss cocoa with a Atkins Choc Crunch protein bar
Approx values... 828 cals, 63 carbs, 39 fat, 68 protein
Please give me comments/feedback I have been stuck for awhile at -109 ish lbs.
Thank you!
Breakfast- slept through it
Lunch- ricotta cheese w/ sf spaghetti sauce, turkey pepperoni, mushrooms and shredded cheese melted
Dinner- meat, cheese and refried beans part of a small Nacho's Supreme from Taco Bell (no chips)
Snack- 4 ozs. of iced protein coffee ( I need to find the right formula because it wasn't so good)

We now hijack this thread to bring you an interesting fact.
Pizza sauce has fewer sugars per 1/4 cup than a low sugar spaghetti sauce.
Example: Contadina Pizza sauce stats
Calories: 30/ Fat: 0/Carbs: 6 minus 1 dietary fiber =5 net carbs/Sugars: 2 / Protein: 1
Barilla Mushroom & Garlic Spaghetti sauce stats
Calories: 40/ Fat: 1.25/Carbs: 6 minus 2 dietary fiber = 4 net carbs (which is less)/ Sugars: 3 / Protein: 1
Compare the pizza stats against your spaghetti sauce in the cupboard... Kroger has a great tasting pizza sauce that I enjoy.
We now return you to the thread. Thanks!
