Surgery POSTPONED!
Hey Bob: I've been reading about what happened to you. I can only agree with what you said--everything is in perfect Divine order, and the Universe was watching out for you when this happened. I agree--your doctors are your angels! Your time will come, and I pray that yours is as event-free as mine!!
Bummer for sure, but you know the saying, everything happens for a reason. I know you and your family are upset and have every right to be, with all the arrangements that everyone has made. Sound's like the right decision was made for you and your safety. Keep your chin up and it will happen. Best of luck. Cheryl
Bob, I know there is nothing any of us can say right now to make this easier for you or to help you feel better. Please know that you are in our prayers. However, I will say this. You know how sometimes you are in a hurry to get somewhere and it seems like there is one thing after another keeping you from getting there and later on you find out there was a major wreck and you think about where you would have been had everything gone according to your schedule and plans and you realize you would have been right in the middle of that wreck? Well, that is a God thing. That is God protecting you from having to deal with such a tragedy. I think today was a God thing. He didn't feel good about today being your day for whatever reason and this was a "little" glitch to keep you safe. I know that doesn't make this any easier and I'm sure you don't feel any better about it, but we want you to have this surgery so you will be around for a really long time for us to continue to harrass you and you us. So, hang in there and know that your day is coming and everything will be fine. I don't know if you are a spiritual man or not, but if you have a bible handy, or you can look this up on the computer, take a look at Jeremiah 29:11-14. I think those verses are very appropriate for you today.
Again, hang in there my friend, you will get there, and we will be waiting for you to get there. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you wait for your new date. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
Hugs to you and your sweet wife.
So sorry Bob...how very disappointing. Try to stay positive. I know it may not help much, but gotta believe that it's better to be safe than have some issue arise. It was meant to be for a reason. I will be wishing the 2 weeks passes quickly and that you can get the logistics worked out okay for the new date. Hang in there!!!!!
Bob,
I am soooo sorry this happened. Being on the medical side of things, I have to agree with you. Your doctor and anesthesiologist did exactly the right thing and you should be proud of your choice. I would probably be climbing the walls!! I am glad though that they chose to wait, to do the safe thing!
