Blood Pressure Cuff

Well, yesterday I went to my PCP for the first time since my WLS.  I was expecting the normal routine of temp, weight, and blood pressure first thing.  After doing the first two I was doing a little happy dance in my mind regarding my weight loss and then the RN slipped the REGULAR SIZED Blood Pressure cuff on my arm!!!  OMG, I don't remember ever being able to use the regular size one.  All I can remember is all the times when I was mortified when they would yell for someone to find them the big or large cuff!! The best part was I was not expecting this WOW moment.  It's not that big of a deal for most people but it was incredible for me and the cuff wrapped way around my arm!  Just had to share. Hugs to all, Jenspen

Jenspen, I know what you mean about the large cuff, even when you tell them before they start (hoping they would be a little discrete) you get "oh no honey this one will be just fine". Only to find out which you already knew, "Oh it doesn't fit"? Kinda like being at a check out counter with some embarrassing item to here price check on #$&!. What a nice WOW moment. Now you have one embarrassment behind you.  C' ya Bob

That is such a cool WOW moment!! At my GYN...it is always an ordeal for them to find the larger cuff...they will not have to do that this year!! You have given me something to look forward to when I have to go for my yearly yuck exam.
