reflux

Hi, Im 3 months out, and still getting reflux often.  I still can not eat any meat.  Also finding fluids quite difficult.  I know I should be drinking lots more, but I gag all the time. Does anyone else have these problems?

I also had the VSG and do have horrible heartburn and reflux.  Talked with the doctor about it and he said that it was quite normal for the surgery I had.  I do use an over the counter acid contorl and it seems to work.  HE said that the more weight I lose the better it sould get.  Hope this helps some.  How are you doing since the surgery? 

Thanks for that, I feel better already!  Im doing good otherwise.  I am not eating much though.  I seem to have lost my taste for a lot of foods.  My favourites are crackers at the moment.  I am still unable to eat a whole slice of toast, but no doubt that will happen.  I have no idea how much weight Ive lost, as I have told my surgeon Im only interested in my BMI.  The scales have dictated to me for too many years.  You know, you weigh yourself, and if it wasnt good, that determined my mood for the rest of the day.  Well no more!  I refuse to obsess any furter.  My BMI was down from 43 to 34 at 6 weeks post op check.  Im happy with that.  When did you have your op?
