Baby shower!

Howdy everyone.  Yes, I'm still hanging in here.  About 4 1/2 weeks or so to go and boy am I ready!  I'm at the weekly doc visit point and got an ultrasound last Thursday.  The little guy is estimated at 4lbs 6oz, in the 24th percentile.  Small, but not unexpected.  Doc wants me to go ahead and get another u/s next Monday before my appt with him.  Hopefully the baby will cooperate this time and let us see his face (last time he kept his hand in front and then turned around and mooned us!) lol I'm finally "looking pregnant" (according to other people).  And I'm feeling extremely pregnant.  If he was a pound heavier, I'd be encouraging movement onward and outward!  lol  He's head down and very low, which is killing my back and groin.  Still working, but it's killing me.  Hopefully I'll have time left to get a paid maternity leave when it's time! ANYWAY!!!   I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to the luncheon on Saturday, I'm going to try, but if not, I wanted to relay the following info: Two of my friends are giving me a baby shower.  One lives in Waverly and the other in Clarkesville, so they agreed to have it at my house in LaVergne.  This is an open invitation to all, would love for any and everybody to be there.  Below is the date, time and RSVP info, hope some of  you can make it!!! Elena, it sounds as if you are doing great!  There is no way I can imagine what you are going through.  From a fathers perspective I know haw excited you are.  Very shortly you and Rick will be holding your new son and thinking how "worth it" this has all been.  Another thing, you will need to update the top of your profile soon.  It says...

I believe you will have to take out the part of no children!  LOL

Hey Scott,   I'm getting pretty excited.  I'm ready to do this NOW!  But realistically I know I am in no way prepared! lol  I'm just tired of waddling down the halls here at the hospital.  I will get right on the change to the profile.  Hoping to change the "single" part too!!  lol    p.s.  You look MAHVELOUS!!!  (channel Billy Crystal)!  I liked your post about being "vain".  lol

Hey Dear,            I am so sorry, I am not going to be able to make it, because that is the same day as the Baptist Walk From Obesity Clothing Sale in Rivergate, now if we sell everything prior to that, I can be there, but if not, I will still be out there selling clothes for the Walk.  We will have to get together before your have the baby, hopefully!! Hey, chick. I am glad everything isgoing well for you. I wil be in VEGAS  on that day. Sorry I will miss it. Where are you registered? Post that for people that may not be able to make it. Congratulations to you, I am so happy for you. I hope to see you before you have the baby. If not, let us know when you go in and where you are if you can. Hey Marie,   Too bad you won't be here!  But I'm sure Vegas will be a lot of fun.  Are you going to be visiting a drive-thru chapel while you are there?!?!?!?!?!         I felt weird posting where I'm registered (old school mentality!!!), so figured I'd just wait for someone to ask.  LOL  Silly, I know.  I'm registered at Walmart & Baby's R Us.  Sure will miss you though.  Are you going to the luncheon this Saturday?  If so, will Ray be there?  If I go, I might let Rick off the hook! lol  I'm off and am going to try to make it.   I will tell Rick about the caddy!  I'm sure Ray will have fun getting it just how he wants it!  ~~Elena

Hey Barb,   I thought my ears were burning the other day!!!  Thought someone must be talking about me.  lol  I'm doing pretty well.  Tired, tired, tired.  Getting harder to do these 12-hr shifts.  I went this morning to HR and got the paperwork to apply for FMLA.  Go ahead and get the ball rolling on that, so that I'm covered when I need it.   I've found it impossible to complete my 4 night stretches, so have ended up calling out at least one night.  They've been understanding, but I want my rear-end covered, just in case.        Thanks for the happy thoughts.  I hope you can make it to the shower.  I'm going to try to be at the luncheon this Saturday.  Hope I get to see you.   ~~Elena
