Hello everybody.  I am fixin' to go the my seminar at Vanderbilt. I am looking to have the Lap Band surgery. Does any body have any comments on the weight lose drs there. Thanks for the info.

Hi! Welcome to the boards. I am a patient at Vandy. But I had my RNY surgery almost 2 years ago (22 months). They now have different surgeons and nurses so I can't really comment on them personally but I have only heard great things about the surgeons. I loved mine but he is not there anymore. I will say they have always had a great aftercare program and I am sure that is still the same or getting back on track. I know a couple of people in the process of going through Vandy and they are happy with the process so far. I am sure you will learn a lot more at the seminar.  Good luck on your journey to weight loss and better health.

Welcome to the board!  This is a great source of info and support.  If you are truly serious about this life change you would do yourself a great favor on staying involved on this board the education is priceless!  Plus Vandy requires you to have 6 support group sessions 3 pre-op 3 post-op they do accept this board as a source of meeting that requirement.  Just had RNY at Vandy my surgeon is Dr. Richards and I am very pleased with the surgery.  C' ya Bob
